The Penetrators play in front of their biggest crowd yet, about 6,000 people at
City Stages in Birmingham, Alabama. Yeah, it was as fun as it looks.

Spanky, he funny guy. But that's one of the reasons the Syndicate keeps him around -- he sure keeps Trace amused, here at the 40-Watt Club in Athens.
Rip hardly cares at all that he's being upstaged by Pepper and Cindy, two of the Syndicate's go-go dancers. Would you?

Our boys are a long way from home here, at The Purple Onion in San Francisco, but were welcomed like long-lost drinking buddies. Lenny Bruce used to stalk this same stage.
Halloween, 1994 -- don't ask.
The Penetrators hit the stage at The Chukker in Tuscaloosa, site of their first club gig. We wish the Syndicate could take credit for the boss zebra/lame backdrop, but Hillbilly Frankenstein gets the salute for that.

Rip and Stix onstage at Dottie's in Atlanta. Any bar with checkered flags around the stage gets the thumb-up in our book!
Agent Twangler arrives at a gig a little late after taking care of Syndicate business elsewhere. Rapid deployment is more than a mode of travel -- it's a way of life.

Stix isn't really as mad as he looks in this picture -- he always looks this way with his hair combed.

Man, The Penetrators aren't used to playing, or even getting out of bed, this early -- playing Tuscaloosa's City Fest '94 at high noon with heads full of aspirin and stomachs full of coffee.

Spanky gets caught in an etiquette dilemma. Does one cover one's mouth to sneeze and let go of an exquisitely fingered A-minor chord at a very important part of the song, or does one sneeze all over the front row of the audience? Well... sometimes the music comes first.

Trace Luger sports The Penetrators' Matt Helm (Dean Martin, R.I.P.) turtleneck look, one of the agents' more popular ensembles of late. By the way, that huge chunk of gold on his finger is a 1992 Alabama football national championship ring.
