SciFiSpy Surf Night at The Chukker. We couldn't print enough of these flyers
featuring our first show with the pride of Auburn University, fellow Alabamians
Man or Astroman? G.R.E.M.M.I.E. saboteurs were working overtime that night, as
the Super Reverb amp Rip was playing through at the time blew a rectifier tube at
soundcheck (Capt. Zeno was kind enough to offer his), and Trace's bass up 'n' died
on him halfway through the set. Coco the Electronic Monkey Wizard, no stranger to
overcoming technical snafus himself, leaped cybersimian-like to the stage and offered
Trace his four-stringer for the rest of the otherwise great set. The show was a gas --
an Alabama/Auburn Surf-O-Rama, where the real winners were the enthusiastic crowd.
